Description:
These chairs were found in the Czech Republic by a retired dentist who took over the waiting room furniture from his father.
The chairs were probably produced by Rudolf Vichr or Robert Slezak which were leading Czech designers in the 30s producing Tabular Bauhaus furniture.
This steel tubular cantilever set is in the original condition and definitely shows nearly 100 years of use and still very stable and comfortable!
Very close to the chairs of Mart Stam (B43F) but the seating boards are inlaid to the frame and the backrests are more curved and slightly wider. The chromed frames could be the same as Mart Stam's, as his products where also produced in Czechia.
Please note:
With a lifetime of stories behind them, our vintage design items come with a bit of character.
Like the best of us, they may have picked up some scratches and scuff marks, acquired patina, and that original shine may have faded a little. And like with most of us, the internal struggles are not always visible to the outside world.
Our second-hand items may not fulfil state-of-the art safety standards and codes in your region. Inner faults may exist that were missed by us. Please always consult with a certified professional before installing any electrical items.
CUSTOMS CHARGES AND DUTIES (TARIFFS) AND ALL RELATED PAPERWORK ARE THE RESPONSIBLITY OF THE IMPORTER!
