6-Armed Chandelier with Frosted Glass Shades, Stilux, Italy, 1960s

This exquisite chandelier by Stilux once graced the offices of an Italian olive oil manufacturer from the late 1960's onwards and we are delighted that it found its way to us.

Elegant, yet playful, the design and clever engineering behind this chandelier stands the test of time: 

The opaline glass shades are held in place with black metal pins and suspended from 6 brass and teak arms. Each arm is fixed to the centerpiece with two screws. the Chandelier is suspended by a brass rod.

In good condition with some patina showing on the brass this chandelier is a mid-century modern eye-catcher, both lit and unlit (designed for E17 light bulbs).
