Bamboo and Rattan Vanity / Dressing Table with Drawer and Mirror, 1970's Mid-century Modern

With an arched bamboo frame and rounded corners this vanity table is a great example of organic modernism often found in European furniture designs from the 1970's.

Well crafted and in very good condition this dressing table is well proportioned making it an attractive solution that is also suitable for smaller spaces.

Four curved side shelves and a central drawer allow for organized storage with easy access.

The central mirror is flanked by two panel inserts with Viennese braiding (Wiener Geflecht) while the table top, the drawer front and shelves are covered in in carefully woven wickerwork.

The diagonally dropping bamboo railings on the shelves are an elegant detail adding to the overall appeal of this piece.

This is a charming piece of furniture that will work with many home decor styles, whether it is placed in a "Coastyle" beach house, in a free-spirited boho chic setting or in a country house bedroom.
