Designed by Karl Wiedmann between 1920 and 1936, this original IKORA table lamp was made by the distinguished German copper and silver metalware manufacturer WMF (Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik)

The glass base for this lamp changes colors when lit and is a most decorative piece to behold, lit and unlit - ranging in colors from azure blue turquoise green with with dashes of carmine red and pastel yellow.

The lamp comes with 3 light settings allowing you to illuminate just the top E27 bulb, or just the internal E14 bulb (which illuminates the body) or both. Each setting gives this lamp a different and always mesmerizing look.

The body of the lamp is in great condition while the original lamp shade and lampshade fitting show some signs of its age - which is close to a 100 years at this stage. The lamp shade can be easily replaced to suit your decor style.

It seems a previous owner replaced the wiring at some stage, but may require new rewiring.

Still producing high quality metal & silverware to this day, WMF is steeped in tradition, its history going back 170 years. It is probably one of Germany's most recognized brands.
