Faux Bamboo Side Table with Viennese Braiding and Glass Tops, Austria, 1960s

This mid-century modern side or end table in the colonial style probably hails from Austria in the 1960s. 

In very good condition, this table has four faux bamboo legs which support two wooden frames for the table top and lower shelf - both are wicker in the Viennese Braiding pattern (Wiener Geflecht) and covered by glass plates. Each leg is crowned by beautiful brass covers which have acquired some patina over the years.

This table not only suits most living spaces, but also makes a great addition to any wintergarden, sun room, patio or indeed pool areas.
