Green & White Ceramic Mirror by Gmundner Keramik, Austria, 1960's

This exquisite ceramic mirror with its glazed loops, stripes and waves pattern hails from Austria's foremost ceramic manufacturer, Gmundner Keramik.

Combining traditional craftsmanship and techniques with modern design, the mirror was made during one of the most exciting periods in the company's 500+ year history, when the "triumphal march of the 'Grüngeflammter' began" in the 1960's.

The green banding in combination with the white glaze background forms the typical "green flaming" and gives this mirror the recognizable Gmundner look (which was declared a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage in 2021).

This 1960's bijou mirror is an elegant and charming piece that comes with a wealth of heritage and will add a touch of Austrian panache to its new home!
