This is unusually shaped cocoon light fixture glows in a warm, champagne colored light making it perfect for creating an intimate and refined space. The grid-like frame around the central cylinder makes this cocoon a rare find - we have not found anything similar in our research.
Well proportioned, and in very good condition, we suspect that this pendant light was made some time in the 1960s by the renowned German manufacturer Goldkant - the original developers and creators of synthetic resin cocoon lights.
Thanks to its texture and shape, we think it would fit very well with any Mid-Century Modern setting, from reduced modernist interiors to more casual mix and match environments.
Nota Bene: There are no tears or holes and there is no rust on the frame! The light was relatively recently rewired by a previous owner for European voltage but can be easily rewired to match US standards.
Dimensions:
Diameter: 50 cm (19.7 in)
Height: 19 cm (7.5 in)

With a lifetime of stories behind them, our vintage design items come with a bit of character.
Like the best of us, they may have picked up some scratches and scuff marks, acquired patina, and that original shine may have faded a little. And like with most of us, the internal struggles are not always visible to the outside world.
Our second-hand items may not fulfil state-of-the art safety standards and codes in your region. Inner faults may exist that were missed by us. Please always consult with a certified professional before installing any electrical items.
