Hollywood Regency Gilt Wheat Sheaf Side Table In The Style Of Robert Goossens

This stunning wheat sheaf side or coffee table in the style of French jeweler Robert Goossens (who became known as Monsieur Bijou) stands out due its detailed awns.  

While no makers mark is visible, similar tables were also designed by Hans Kögl - but they would not have the detailed awns and are usually bound by a rope.

A truly eye-catching gilt metal coffee table, it is fashioned in the shape of wheat sheaf bound by a flag leaf. The awns are a separate insert to the the table.

With a height of 50 cm (19.7 in) it makes the ideal wine or coffee table in true Hollywood Regency manner. 

The table is in good condition and showing patina with some loss of gilt on table ends (as documented in the photographs).

Please note, the glass top is NOT included as it makes shipping difficult and would result in prohibitive shipping costs.

We recommend contacting your local glazier to get a suitable glass top (or look online).
