Based on the design of their 1920s "MET2" and a post-war re-make from their 1930's "C210t", Siemens-Schuckert produced this model  "W250T" in Germany between 1949 and 1955.

Showcasing their aviation heritage - Siemens-Schuckert also produced aircraft during World War 1, such as the "Riesenflugzeug" (giant plane or R-plane) - this desk fan became THE GERMAN FAN of the 1950s.

The base as well as the motor casing are made from oxblood-red lacquered metal and the welded "safety-cage" is attached to the motor casing with a ring. Health and Safety standards in the 1950's obviously not in line with what we would expect today - best to keep kids and pets away.

Notably, by design, the blades on the "W250T" are not bolted to the hub.

While branded as Siemens only, the Siemens-Schuckert icon is featured above the Siemens branding consisting of a capital S with a smaller S superimposed on the middle and with the smaller S rotated left by 45 degrees.

The fan comes with two speed settings and is designed for 220V alternating current.

The fan is in good condition but shows signs of age (69+ years) and use. Please refer to photos.
