Elegantly shaped and finely crafted, this set consists of a mirror frame and and two coat hooks - all decorated with shiny brass swan necks!
Given the quality of the craftsmanship and the style of the Swan necks, we strongly believe that this set hails from the celebrated workshops of Maison Jansen in Paris, France, in the post war years (some time in the late 40's to early 50's).
The set is in good condition with some signs of its age and use - especially the coat hooks show some ware, which comes as no surprise given their age and function. While they are clearly a set from the same workshop, it seems that the mirror frame is colored in a slightly brighter shade of green compared to the coat hooks (please refer to photos for details).
The mirror frame is well proportioned and would also function well as a picture frame.
Altogether, this is a very stylish set, that will be just as decorative in the hallway of a city apartment as it will complement a country house.
