S.A. Boulanger Opal Glass Ostrich Egg Table Lamp, Belgium, 1960s
ONE OF TWO:
Designed and manufactured in Belgium in the 1960s by the acclaimed lighting manufacturer S.A. Boulanger this exquisite table lamps oozes with luxurious elegance.
The "ostrich egg" was hand-made from French opaline and rests in a nest of five detailed leaves and is crowned with brass plated metal palm leaves from which the central rode protrudes. A brass finial in shape of a pineapple acts as a lock for the lamp shade and provides the final touch of elegance.
This table lamp is in great condition and was designed for three E14 screw bulbs. With a cable length of 2.5m (8.2 ft) the lamps can be easily placed within your setting
Please note, one lamp shade has a small tear on the lower end! (as shown in photos)
The table lamp is well proportioned and the opal egg gives it a light and delicate look and feel.
