Set of 4 Vintage Rattan Bamboo Chairs, by Schumacher, Belgium 1950s

This rare set of 4 vintage bamboo garden chairs was made in Belgium by Schumacher in the late 1950s. Unusual is the fact that the rattan almost flows down the front edge of the seat separating it’s design from the vast majority of plainly structured bamboo chairs. 

This set of outdoor furniture was clearly well looked after by the previous owners and it shows. Super chic and in very good condition, the hand crafted rattan still fits tightly to the black iron frame. The bamboo shows a beautiful & healthy patina making this set of four chairs the perfect for pool, garden and terrace settings.
