This hand-crafted round mosaic table was created in the Mosaik-Werkstatt (mosaic workshop) of the highly acclaimed German sculptor and mosaicist Berthold Müller-Oerlinghausen in the 1960s.
Framed in a brushed metal band and standing on four wooden legs wrapped in chrome, the mosaic top of this extravagant coffee table consists of turquoise ceramic inlays in various patterns, offset by a few interspersed pink tiles.
A black lacquered metal cross connects each of the legs and provides added stability.
The table is in good condition with no tiles missing or chipped. The chrome on the legs is showing some signs of its age and the the screws on the underside of the table show some rust.
We think this would make a most suitable pool-side or terrasse table but it would also work very well as a lounge table in most settings.
