The dark eyes with the slightly raised eyebrows give this bust an intriguing lost-in-thought expression. This pensiveness is underscored by the slightly offset handlebar-moustache over the closed lips.
The "Sepia" color scheme of chestnut-brown hair and vanilla-cream skin along with that magnificent mustache immediately take us back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Made by the renowned West-German pottery and ceramic manufacturer Scheurich, this ceramic sculpture probably dates from the late 70's, early 80's and will make a great shop display, headphones holder or stand for your favorite hat or wig.
This head is in good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a small fault in the glazing on the right eye-brow and the model number 701 is just barely visible on the base.

With a lifetime of stories behind them, our vintage design items come with a bit of character.
Like the best of us, they may have picked up some scratches and scuff marks, acquired patina, and that original shine may have faded a little. And like with most of us, the internal struggles are not always visible to the outside world.
Our second-hand items may not fulfil state-of-the art safety standards and codes in your region. Inner faults may exist that were missed by us. Please always consult with a certified professional before installing any electrical items.
